Marija Mandić (b. 1990, Novi Sad, SRB) lives and works in Novi Sad. She is an artist whose practice spans photography and research, focusing on memory, heritage, and belonging. Her work explores the relationship between personal and collective narratives, often through a familial context, examining how memory, place, and identity are shaped, transmitted, and transformed over time.

Since 2025, Mandić has been part of the FUTURES platform, nominated by Organ Vida Festival. She was a finalist for the Mangelos Award in 2023 and 2025, part of the Young Visual Artists Awards network. In 2022,
she won the Fotograf Magazine (CZ) open call, and in 2021 received the VID Foundation for Photography grant for her project White Bee. Her accolades also include the Dositeja scholarship, a grant from the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic, and the Mali Princ Foundation award.

From 2015 to 2019, she worked as a doctoral researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Art and Design in Ústí nad Labem (CZ), where she earned a PhD in Visual Communication with the dissertation Reli(e)ving Memory: Representations of Collective and Individual Remembrance through Late 20th and 21st Century Photographic Practices.
