Memory Objects (2020)
The work represents a collection of objects that belonged to my grandparents, items that hold significance within my family’s circle. Each piece, from an accordion to postage stamps, carries with it stories that are tied to memories of my childhood and the lives of those who came before me. These objects, though ordinary in appearance, are saturated with meaning. They recall not just the personal narratives of my grandparents but also can tell about their time's broader social and cultural context.
These objects serve as more than just mementos of the past. They are tangible links to memories and stories that have shaped my identity, reflecting the complex ways in which history and personal heritage intertwine. By photographing them, I aim to preserve their significance and thus maintain a connection to family memory.
