Family Mythologies (2023)

Family Mythologies deals with memory, past, and history, which I examined in the context of my own family. To the questions of what home is, how we are shaped by the past in which we did not participate, how to release other people's memories that we have appropriated, how family myths are created and how they are maintained through the generations, I sought answers using photographs, text and material from the family archive. The works July 32, White Bee and Memory Objects are part of this work and an additional series created during the research.
